English Summary
This cage made from a repurposed
IKEA "Detolf" glass cabinet is therefore by User Yoshi from the German Forum and hamster hamster Board. Her Winter White dwarf hamster Noa enjoys the
160cm x 40cm (~ 63 "x 16") floor space . The left
side contains the
20cm (8") Transoniq Robo Wheel , mangrove root and wood shavings (use aspen, not cedar or pine). In the middle, about 1/4th of the cage is set up as a sand area with Chinchilla sand. There you find mangrove root, cork, a water bottle and an
IKEA "Asker" as hideout. Poplar plywood boards are used to delimit the sand area.
On the right hand side is a digging area with about
20cm (8") of bedding depth . There you find a multi-chamber wooden house with removable roof, cork hideouts, toilet paper shreds as nesting material, a small
"Charmör" bowl and a
"Glimma" tealight candle holder by IKEA (both used as bowls). A background picture brighten up the cage.
The cage lids are made from two wooden frames and wire mesh. They can be opened separately.
